Yeah that makes sense, now I'll have to get the black one to use and put the silver slide in the cabinet :D
I do try to be very careful with my slides, especially ones with bead/sand blasted finish because I've noticed they get marked very easily. Funny you should mention the old SD slides because I was eyeing up the SD slides on WGC shop just before I ordered the Airsoft Masterpiece one.. I always want everything lol. |
Search for Custom Builders\Airsoft Mods Gunsmith
Hi Guys,
I search for days to find a Airsoft modder , Airsoft "gunsmith" specialized in any kind of 1911 located in CANADA Could you gives me somes names of somes of the best of the best , talented one ? Many thanks in advance!! its truly appreciated |
Has anybody tried UAC's outer barrels? They're a lot cheaper than the other well known brands (Airsoft Surgeon, ProG4, Airsoft Masterpiece) and they are the advanced model as well.
|
Anyone know what the 1911 inner chasis is classified as under CBSA rulings?
Is it a "frame" frame? or just a normal part? Legal to import or not? |
Can someone help with my groupings?
TM Hi-capa 5.1 has a TK barrel and a 9 ball hop bucking. TM G17 has a PDI Palsonite 6.01 and stock bucking. Inner barrels have been teflon wrapped to remove shifts and outer barrel has been electrical taped just slightly to cut down barrel shifts. Yet my Hi-capa is almost 2X worse than my Glock. Distance is 11m. http://i.imgur.com/r9ZrA4l.jpg (And before anyone does it: no, don't ask me to try the followin: https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5274/5...f41def67_b.jpg |
Well first of all it looks like you fired a lot more shots with the Hicapa.
Usually more shots = wider possible grouping. |
E-luder -- I ordered a chassis from kjw and it came in no problem.

Hi guys,
Airsoft surgeon released a new hop up unit times ago but can't find anything about it. To know if it's better than the nova or if I stuck with Nova to replace my marui hop up. |
FAQ for Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa, 2011, 1911, MEU & Detonics type variants
Nova ones are good and they sell for less too. I would stick with Nova. That's what I'm currently using and its great.
|
Thanks, yeah it's why I took nova : airsoft surgeon rubber disapointed me so much, they're only a+ rubbers without the nub to set up the hop up.
Gonna try to get a firefly rocket valve and piston head to see the improvements in kick and autonomy. |
What is the problem with the stock Marui hop-up unit? Can anyone explain it to me?
|
Nothing is wrong with it. I usually keep mine stock, except in my current situation where it broke forcing me to purchase a new Nova one.

Marui grips on Socom Gear M.E.U. 1911?
I'm starting a build that will be based on the Remington 1911 R1 Enhanced, and I'm planning on getting a Socom Gear 1911 M.E.U. These grips look like the ones on the R1 Enhanced, but I'm wondering if they will fit on a Socom Gear as it says that the grips are for Tokyo Marui. Also, will I be able to use WE MEU mags on the Socom Gear 1911? Thanks for your help. The link to the grips is here: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/ready-fig...l#.VcrowhOqqko

All the surgeon rubbers are trash. Don't even bother with them, you are better off using the stock Marui rubber.
Stick to NineBall hop-up for your hi-capas only. And PDI barrels are worse than NineBall 6.03. I have experimented with all the barrels on the market, no joke. I ended up sticking to the NineBall 6.03 standard length for all my Hi-Capas. The stock marui hop-up unit is prone to breaking if you are using a steel outer barrel, as it bangs up on the hop-up unit really bad causing the dial to come loose. The Surgeon stuff is all from the same factory as Nova and Prog4. So the hop-up units are all essentially the same. Stick to Nova, its currently the most reliable on the market. My Nova hop-up came loose with however, replacing the o-ring with my own custom o-ring the dial is stiff as ever and I never loose my hop-up setting under extreme blow-back. |
