that said, I would never wear glasses or even tac goggles unless everyone involved has experience.

Just wondering, has anyone actually ever used the crossman goggles at a game?

I don't know, but for me, when I hear crossman, I get a bad taste in my mouth.

Real man uses glasses.

Real men don't try to pressure their friends into doing something that would put them in harms way.

Also, real men don't care what others think, because they are secure in their own mind and therefore don't need to posture.

Anyways, what do you guys think about the glasses with the rubber seals? I think wiley-x makes some.

every person that I have ever seen that used them... complains about fogging

If you are wondering what to buy first

PAINTBALL GOGGLES

as it is 95% likely the first place you will play.. and the most common venues will require their use.

Each person will have their own choice in regards to this subject. My personal preference is goggles because they do offer a complete seal around the eyes. I have seen people wearing glasses have to push them back up their nose after a hard run or dropping to the ground.

Rugger_can April 7th, 2010 17:48

Personally for guys just starting out I recommend JT's paintball goggles. They are pretty darn good quality for the price and they don't fog as bad as some of the "discount" brands Ive tried. Also pick up some anti-fog spray and apply it before your game.

I have used both and I like wear my ESS goggles more. I don't have to worry about them falling off if I jump or fall or anything. To prevent fogging I have removed the foam on the goggles in increase are flow, but honestly I would rather worry about fogging than not have an eye.

Glasses are fine for shooting but not for being shot at. Too many chances for a BB to work between the frame and your face.

Wiley-x suck ass fogging. Advancer V-12 is a excellent goggle that is incredibly low profile.

It doesn't matter if your glasses are rated Mispec ++ the FRAMES are not rated and they WILL shatter from guns shooting ~300 at up to 30ft.

Real men also have 2 eyes so they can work, pay rent and support their families.

Yah I get paranoid of loosing teeth and an eye. I wear ESS NVG's and a neoprene half face mask (sucks when breathing heavy).

The only time I have ever had a fogging problem, it was scorching hot, I was prone on top of a bed of mud and leaves. It was also very humid that day. My goggles almost completely fogged up but after crouching for about a minute, they cleared.

There's a lot more n00bs playing airsoft now.

2 years ago I would have worn glasses at any field that allowed them. Now I'm almost exclusively goggles. I get shot in the face a lot more now than I used to.

Eeyore April 7th, 2010 20:25

What kind of goggles are you guys using that fog? All the googles I have have a good thermal lens and rain or shine they don't fog.

+1 to that the V-12's are awesome goggles

TaroBear April 7th, 2010 21:03

I shit you not, I wore a welder's mask once and a BB hit it. Rang like a motherfucker. It was like I got a concussion.
