Well I said 2008 because although there were alternatives before that, the choice was quite limited.

But today, unless someone is a fanboy... there are absolutely no reasons to buy TM AEGs. (I specified AEG, as their GBBs/bolt actions/SOPMOD EBB series are much more defendable choices).

You only need one reason: Travis Haley recommend new gen Marui AEG's. Haley trains with Marui AEG's. So if you have an AEG, then you're as boss as Haley.

lol

But Conker's right. Their standard AEG Armalite series is obsolete. As far as I understand it, you can't even find them on shelves in Japan anymore - anything you can find, is simply for legacy support.

I'm amazed that guy does not have a PTW

I'm glad CA is finally going away, looks like G&G and KA are the new standards
I figure KA is about on par with G&P at almost half the price with better stock internals

PTW is not an ideal training tool, as the feedback and ability to cycle mechanical functions doesn't exist like what GBBR's and the new gen Marui's offer.

He probably does but figures nobody wants to pay $1500 as a "training alternative" when a $250 one will do.

The number one thing King Arms should be focused on right now -- #1! - is to poach the guy in charge of powder coat paintjobs at G&P.

They do that, and they've pretty much nailed it.
