Ringsted + Vondnik = Wrestling + Canola Oil
:) |
I agree with nimh batteries being "bigger and more usable" but I haven't used nicd yet. I really like the fact of getting 4200 mah out of a 8.4 volt battery, something about that kicks ass. Maybe its the fact that you can play all day and still put out enough to turn a 420 fps monster around? I dunno this is a good argument i wanna see some more :)

I have to side with Vondnik as my practical experience over upgrading and making repair over 2 years on Airsoft products in quebec province !
I don't know about spec much. But after trying the same pack on the same AEG. It was an M14 fully upgraded at 415 FPS. The NICD was delivering a higher ROF and more shot on the same power of battery. My test were done over a 8.4V 3600mah. NICD : 8.4V 3600mah, Large tamya connector NIMH : 8.4V Intellect 3600 mah, Large Tamya connector. The shot were done in summer at 22C, in outdoor. And the NICD got 20% more shot than the NIMH intellect... i have decided to use NICD because of that. Even if spec say otherwise, in real test they don't. JF |

could you please post either a link or a picture of your NiCd battery with 3600 mah. i can only find 2400 in SUB C size. also you did of course charge the NiMh with a NiMh certified charger, because they need different chargers. Graupers ultramat 14 is quite good here. and when you first recived the intellect battery you did charge it at 1/10 C right? because if you dont you can break the battery. |

your own battery thread also say NiMh are better than NiCd
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=25656 i might also ad that i ran over 6000 BB's throught my M120 gun this saturday, using an Elite battery in parallel made by 2 12v 1500 packs, so the battery was a 12 v 3000mah, this battery is in the foregrib of my M4, how many shots do a 12 v 1700 mah NiCd give? or even af 12 v 1200 mah NiCd which is the same size? My rate of fire is around 27-28 RPS |
