KWA ATP Thoughts

I plan on pickin up a KWA ATP soon and not having worked on or held a KWA Pistol I was wondering if anyone has one and could maybey throw out some info on it. I looked and cant find anything, reviews on YouTube Are 90% preteens that dont know didly squat. The more info the better.

I plan on using it as my main sidearm and retiring my WE Baby Highcappa.

Thanks in advance Guys

Why bother with this thing when you can get a KSC Glock?

Spawn28 January 12th, 2012 01:06

just to be a little different a couple teamates have the KSC glocks both the G23 and G32C but something about it just apeals to me.

is it maybe cause it's ribbed?

all joking aside, have you considered how easy it will be to get a holster for it?

It works with all glock compatible holsters. Raven concealment holsters probably own't fit but serpa's and safariland should.

It's their new incarnation of a Glock basically, because they can't legally make it look like a Glock.

I've held one. It's essentially a Gen4 glock frame with an M&P style low profile slide. Height over bore is reduced but not like it really matters for airsoft. Feels less "chunky" than a regular Glock.

Mag release takes a bit of getting used to. Decent piece if you're looking for a Glock alternative. AFAIK, compatible with *some* KWA glock internals.

Thanks Guys Im also looking for some reliability info. Hopefully someone who owns one will chime in.

Crunchmeister January 12th, 2012 14:01

Typically, KWA / KSC pistols are very good guns and very reliable. They're one of the companies out there that seem to actually really care about putting out top quality products. I wouldn't expect this model to be different in that respect from anything else.

But of course, that's speaking theoretically of course. I know it's always better to get the scoop from someone that actually owns one of this model.

Well once i do recieve this pistol i will doing a review on it as there is not much info on them, Seems like all i can find are quick teardown comparisons and immature youtube videos

My ATP is a POS. The worst GBB I've ever had out of the box, and the ONLY KWA gun I've bought that I'm unhappy with. Nothing I've done has fixed the problems (constant jamming and mag venting).

Supposedly, they have fixed the problems from the original production run. Hope they have.

sorry for the necro.

I just got mine today, so far no problems except for that gay orange tip which lasted 30 seconds with a pair of plyers. Anyway, does anyone know if a kwa/ksc g17 threaded outer barrel will work with it?
