kmp9 low power bolt

i installed my kmp9 low power bolt today and went and had it chrono'd apparently its shooting 260? does this seem kind of low anyone else experience this or have a solution?

Were you using heavier BBs by accident? (Has happened to me :))

If it was shooting at the correct fps with the regular bolt, it might be something with the cylinder/flute valve.

Nope regular bolt stock no mods shooting 370 with .25g (played outdoors) an 260 when installed the low power, these are the Only references I have since I don't own my own chrono

Your hop-up rubber was probably close to give-in.

Take it appart and check carefully for cracks and wear on the inner edge.

And shooting 380 on .25, your hop-up was probably quite high. Drop that down a bit.

that's your problem right there! get a chrony. only way to know what your gun shoots

mr.hyde July 11th, 2012 10:11

Well I used a chrono I just don't own one. I don't pull numbers outta my arse.

Styrak July 11th, 2012 10:22

What's it supposed to be shooting?

mr.hyde July 11th, 2012 10:25

Apparently they said 320 ish

Styrak July 11th, 2012 12:01

Well you said it's shooting 290-300 on 0.20's. Is that not good enough?

Kos-Mos July 11th, 2012 12:04

Mine was shooting close to 300 with .20 on propane, with the low power bolt.
And around 380 with .20 on propane again, with the "normal" bolt.

The only difference (I swaped parts to confirm) is the rocket valve in it. Low power uses a cylinder and high power used a flute/rocket valve

260 with .2g using the low power. I'm worried more about damage then fps, I'm not out to hurt people

mr.hyde July 11th, 2012 13:25

I was thinking low on gas but the ns2 doesn't really fluctuate that much does it? I'll do some test firing tonight see what the flight pattern is like on the bb

Are you certain it was with .20?

Because 260 with .25 is about right on at 300 with .20...

mr.hyde July 11th, 2012 13:36

It was chronod by the guys at xtreme tactics and all they use is .20

mr.hyde July 12th, 2012 09:37

Seems to shoot fine, rate of fire is about the same. Maybe it's just the bolt?
