Quick AK Barrel/Cylinder Q

If I put an M16 length barrel in a stock TM AK 47 do I need to switch the Cylinder? I dont know if it's ported and I dont have a lot of time to search around looking for the infos so sorry if it's easy, I just need a yes or no.

thanks dudes.

if the length of your AK barrel is over 407mm then you dont need to switch. The longest barrel length a ported cylinder can handle before getting suckback is 407mm

I would like to pop my own imput in...

I owned a CA M15 CQB with a PR 6.03mm barrel of 407mm and I would highly recommend that you upgrade to a full cylinder, or at least AK.

I was using a M4 cylinder and it was not enough. Suckback was visibly there.
Put in a M16 cylinder and it shot like it had never shot before.

Long story short... don't test the limits.
