No co-sponsers - possible hollow bill upon which to tac on other items.

Is the sky falling yet ? Hope not cause I wanna try my L85 first this year ! Anyway, I think they have a lot to deal with before that law project ! IRAQ, Afghanistan... war, war, war... oil oil oil... anyway, we'll see !

This is hardly a Sky-Is-Falling piece of news. The dude is a congressman for Brooklyn, NY. For those of you not in the know, New York City already requires a license for all airguns (pellet and BB guns) and has a total ban on any airsoft or toy gun that isn't clear or bright colored plastic (not just the muzzle).

With unregistered/unlicensed sub-500 FPS airguns and tolerance for owning airsoft, Canada is actually pretty lax compared to NYC.

hey, I make those at work, and without the soy they are just above awful tasting

I doubt it would fly very well. What are they going to do with the thousands of airsoft handguns already out there?

Common Sense never dictates public policy.

Gryphon January 25th, 2007 19:22

The CPSC is a criminal organization that should be destroyed.

Thats why Mulroney stayed in office so long.

fidget January 25th, 2007 19:27

Its way too vague for it to be passed in the US.

Actually the CPSC is a great orginization. Over the years they have investigaged and discovered bad wiring in various heater models that were burning down homes and killing people, toys that represent a strangling risk to infants etc.

The Bill has no chance to pass.

More importantly, this ding dong has liekly decided to draft this peice of legislation to try and force the CPSC to do this because he has approached them on the issue and they refused to take any steps.

If bans worked, there'd be no crime at all. The same logic applies, that criminals somehow give a shit.
