Metal Body Question

Ok so i just got my hands on a metal body for a project. I paid it a good price and since i don't own a camera i can show you which body it is on unc:

http://www.uncompany.com/pageproduct...sp?prodid=1237

Anyone know anything about it? Quality? Dremeling that needs to be done? What parts will fit it/not fit?

I'm thinking of putting a systema complete gearbox with a M120 springs (how much fps does that give??) and crane stock. For the front, not sure... and for the motor i'm thinking a magnum since i have a friend selling one.

Thank You.

i heard the rail isnt to scale..slightly oversized...which is weird for systema

Depends on what gun, what size barrel, etc.

My scope fits on it...

ronan! Where's my body??

a systema 120 usually runs about 380fps, i would STRONGLY reccommend it as its just right in fps, power draw (a 2200 will run it and last all day) reliablilty and most of all price. you cant go wrong with a s-m120

but is that oversized compared to airsoft specs or oversized for rs specs? i was always under the assumption that the airsoft specs were off from real, which would make this one correct... did that make sense?

Body Metal sold... i guess some people are really in love with systema stuff lol... it did have a 'heavy' feel to it which was nice.

Can anyone recommend a high quality M4 metal body that doesn't require dremeling etc etc etc?? Basically you buy it, and stick a V2 mechbox in it and any front end and rear stock that works on TM's.

Im preordering one with Huang. Apparently hes got something set up. I have no idea what the details are but he hasnt failed us yet.

If you're looking to set up a Crane stock you're gonna be dremelling anyway.

I like the G&P bodies, good quality for the price. Some very minor fitting sometimes. Have a Chinese clone (DBoys I think) that required a lot more work. Curious to hear how Huang's are, cheap and the engraved logo ones look really sweet.

hurricane is your best bet, you can find them for a good price in the classifieds, but new theyre about the same (a little more) than any other body, HOWEVER they usually only come as a shell, youll need a plastic body for donor parts (charging hndl, mag catch, bolt rls, frwrd asst)

I just fit a G & P and it went on perfectly, no prob's what-so-ever. Also no barrel wobble, YES! I used the full stock with a battery that has one more cell than an AK large type battery. I also upgraded a systema spring and bushings.

El_crasseu has a Huang's friend metalbody on one of his airsoft. No mod needed.

I have one too.. but no other parts for building a m4

Drake November 6th, 2007 21:08

KA sells all the bits and pieces, btw (charging handle, selector switch, fake bolt release etc)

They have em as kits, too (full set of bits sold together). Airsoftparts.ca can hook you up.

And from talking to Huang, my understanding is that all those parts come with the bodies he's selling. So that's a really good deal.
