trigger help

ok i just bought am aftermath x2 m16 with grenade launcher thought it was a good starter gun met what i wanted in a gun but my problem came less then 48 hours after perches. i was doing target practice and the trigger broke off now i am taking the gun back for a new one but if in the future it happens again how do i go about fixing and replacing with a nice metal trigger wear would one find that part i looked at 007airsoft and many other places and can't find triggers. also what parts from other makers work with after math any help would be great thanx

I believe it uses a V2 gearbox. You would need to search for "V2 Metal Trigger". Buy it, then open up your gearbox, replace the trigger.

More correctly, an M16 trigger. Several guns use the Version 2 gearbox, the armalite series (M16/M4) being only one.

well i hope i wont break another trigger but i now know to just replace with a good one right away thanx for your help. now dose any one know what's compatible with aftermath guns or should i just stay away from them

The Saint February 15th, 2009 14:49

We generally advice people to stay away from Aftermath.

It's like going mountain biking with a no-name bike you found in the nic-nac section of a convenience store.

first off, good gun, low cost and upgradable are tough to say together. what is your budget?

age verification will open up a world of guns you can access. retailers and in the classifieds.

there are no brick and mortar stores in Canada that sell airsoft guns other than the clearsoft stuff but for the money you can go with all metal goodness.

get age verified. you won't be disappointed!

Well all the posts here would be correct but....
The gun he purchased has a plastic gearbox. Albeit a full ver.2 plastic clone but still a plastic gearbox so even if he wanted to keep it the trigger probably wouldn't be compatible. Save up and get at least an aftermath lycaon or other substitute w/ a metal gearbox.:(

yeah not after an mp5 want a m4 but thanx for the point in the right direction as far as budget well i want to keep the gun it's self under 200 250 then worry about metal bodies and all that good stuff and were in Vancouver can i get the my age verified. but thanx you guys have been very helpful and any more ideas would be great
