I thought the law states that the overall length of the weapon must be over 26". I have a mossgerg 500 bull pup at 27" and have both RCMP and DNR examine it and they say it meets the minimum requirement. If imported to do a Ruger 10/22, the overall length would be 26 3/4". Does the legal status change if it is applied to airsoft? I'm new so educate me please if I misinterpreted the section in the firearms act?
