I actually have sort of the same problem too. I still have a plastic mag catch however. It seems that about 2 out of my 5 mags will not lock back when they're empty (whether by pulling the slide back manually or by shooting). If I push them up a bit, they will lock perfectly. I cannot see any differences between the mags when comparing them side-by-side however.
