The MkII allows you to delete the anti-reversal latch and cut-off lever, in addition to the traditional mechanical trigger assembly. Thats alot less moving parts to fail.
I'd say the only drawback is data cables are very thin gauge and easily fail if nicked or pinched. As long as you're careful routing them, it shouldn't cause a problem though. The spectre eliminates this problem as there are no datacables.
Anything from BTC is well worth the 100$ IMO.

Agreed! I got the Spectre from them, very impressed so far. Love that it replaces the cut off lever, allows for full benefit of the system.
I had to keep in the anti reversal, slightly modified, because Im running 12.8V in my set up, and even full breaking was causing over spin on the cycle.
