I understand the gear timing myth. It is equally difficult to believe though that the momentum of the gears is strong enough to pull a SP120 spring half way through the cycle. If it weren't for the spring change feature, I don't know what I would do. I wish more manufactures made some sort of anti reversal latch release to release spring/gear tension.
