That's an odd one, both my teammate and I have the M249s and after well over 20,000 rounds each theres no sign of wear on the tappet plate. But I have heard that they do break at random in a different thread. Mind you it could just be limited to their M4 series like the classic army guns. CA tappet plates in M4s break all the time, yet I've never heard of that problem in a CA36...
And that's a good idea with the ball point pen, Drake, I'll definitely remember that one
