For the second half of your questions 7 seconds on google gave me this.
I have the STAR GP30, it did not work on ICS AK74 due to bayonet lug placement. If you follow the Red Alliance link it will tell you that longer screws for the mounts will counter that.
Ref mounting it is done like so.
