M249 bipod
So I just received my brand new CA MK46 SPW yesterday and when trying to adjust the bipod up from it's lowest postion, it was fairly difficult so I used the very bottom piece to help push it up to it's original position. The damn thing snaps off with very little force and now I'm wondering what's the best way to attach it again so it never comes off! Something other than welding it on. Oh, and are there any tips on how to take the damn CA RIS covers off? I got one off with an aching thumb.

PM me your e-mail and I'll send you photos of an extra bi-pod that I was about to put up for sale. Maybe we can work something out for you
Thanks Jakster |

That would make it stick for sure and be able to take abuse?

jb weld is just a fancy term for superglue, it really won't help anything, you're only chance is soldering or brazing. You can't weld it because it's pot metal.
But if it makes you feel any better, I've never seen a CA249 that didn't have anything broken on it |

I don't know Thunder, magnets do stick to the bipod and there is a bit of rust...

Don't know, I got all mine from a friend, with plans on buying a 249 at some point, but you may have some luck with forums such as that above.

Now does anyone know what real steel parts would fit a CA/A&K m249? Stock, rail, even the bipod?
